Founded by P.J. Piccirillo and fellow enthusiasts in 2018, the Writers Conference Of Northern Appalachia (WCoNA) seeks to honor, promote, and preserve writings for and about Northern Appalachia. The region deserves its own canon and recognition of its unique diversity and many voices expressed through writing.

WCoNA is a 501©3 organization and will offer face-to-face and virtual conferences for those interested in learning the art and craft of writing, networking opportunities, promoting their own work, and sharing the stories of our unique heritage, peoples, and landscapes for present and future generations.
